Papers, 1862-1874.

Papers consisting of correspondence from Warrick to his wife Martha, brothers, sister, mother and father. There are also letters from A. Wideman and Mahaley Thornton in this collection. Topics discussed in the papers include camp and home life, as well as occasional references to various military campaigns, particularly those around Chattanooga, Tenn. and Atlanta, Ga. In two of the letters, May 16th and July 26th, 1863, Warrick discusses the possibility of having a photograph made of himself for his wife. These letters document almost the entire service of the 34th Alabama Infantry, from their training in Loachapoka, Ala. until almost the end of the war.
